Holiday Inn Hammond, LA is Hiring a Front Desk Agent Near Hammond, LA

Holiday Inn Hammond has an opening for a Front Desk Agent. This position may cover morning shifts, evening shifts, and / or overnight shifts as needed.

Front Desk is often the first point of contact and first impression for our guests, so we're looking for a cheerful, friendly, and professional person to join our team.

Duties of Front Desk Agents include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner
  • Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services
  • Ensure proper identification is taken from guests at check in
  • Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures
  • Take action to solve guest problems / complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
  • May routinely book reservations for individuals and / or groups requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on changes
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Starting Pay $10.50 per hour; Opportunity for Merit Based Increase to $11.50 per hour after 90 days.
